Sustainability

We knew we couldn't create a new brand in the same old unsustainable way so we've tried at every point to do what is best for our people and planet, and want to make sure sustainability is one of our core values. That's why we've made our entire range using recycled polyester, not just one or two "eco" products.

What are we doing?

Our Materials

All of our luggage and accessories are made using GRS certified 100% recycled polyester (RPET). This polyester is made by turning plastic bottles into flakes which are then melted down into the yarns used to make the fabric. This process uses much less energy than regular polyester manufacture, and reduces the amount of plastic destined for landfill.

We're also using 100% recycled canvas for the lining in our weekend tote and fold out backpack. This not only gives an extra special feel to our bags but helps reduce our environmental impact.

Our Packaging

We all love to receive a beautifully packaged parcel, however quite often all those bells & whistles end up in the bin, so we've tried to reduce and remove anything unnecessary whilst still delivering something special.

Our cardboard boxes, paper mailing bags and card swing tags are fully recyclable, and the individual item polybags can be recycled with other plastics at supermarkets or recycling points.

Little Luggage Co & The Marine Conservation Society

We've teamed up with the Work for Good organisation to ensure that 5% of the sales from our Ocean Friends sticker set goes to the Marine Conservation Society. They work around the UK to protect our seas by organising beach cleans, campaigning and working with the government to promote sustainable fishing and a cleaner ocean.

The Little Things

We've also made a conscious effort to be sustainable in smaller ways. For example we used pre-loved items for the majority of our photoshoot outfits and props.

Being a small mum led business in Warwickshire, it's really important to us to support other local businesses where possible. Our packaging and printing are sourced locally, and delivered directly to our nearby fulfilment centre to reduce unnecessary transportation; and we've worked with small independant (and mostly mum led!) businesses on things like marketing and photography.
